Meeting the demands of a booming tourism industry

Occupancy rates. In 2016, Dubai’s hotels attracted 14.2 million tourists, a number that is expected to increase for 2018. The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) announced its tourism vision for 2020, which stands at 20 million tourists a year*. This suggests tremendous growth for the hotel sector.

High growth. Airport arrivals exceed 78 million in air traffic in 2016, an increase of 10.7% compared to 2015, supporting the demand for hotel accommodations*. Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in the world for international visitors two years running. The positive upward trend in tourist arrivals has continued into 2017 and is reflected in the improved hotel performances around the city.
